On May 23, 2007 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. I will be presenting on the topic of Special Education Advocacy under IDEA 2004 at Equestrian Connections, a riding stable for children and adults with special needs, located at 600 W. Bradley Road, Lake Forest, Illinois. There is no charge for the presentation but donations to Equestrian Connections are appreciated.
On April 9, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. I will be making a presentation to the Lincolnshire Chapter of CHADD on strategic approaches to IEP meetings, transition planning and effective advocacy at Claremont Rehab & Living Center, 150 North Weiland Road (just north of Lake Cook Road on Weiland) Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
I will be presenting on the topic of IDEA 2004 and behavioral interventions, discipline and transition planning at the BASIL conference (Behavioral Analyst Conference) on April 5, 2007 from 1 to 2:50 p.m. at the Wyndam Hotel, 3000 Warrenville Road, Lisle, IL 630-505-1000. There is a charge to attend the conference.
I will be presenting on special education advocacy strategies for the Downs Syndrome Support Group on April 4, 2007 from 7-8:45 p.m. at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 Judd Street, Woodstock, IL.
